Probably just a bunch of people who has very little experience with betrayal, hurt, trust and love. IRL someone who behaves like Jowoon would get socked by me immediately.
I don't care if you're a celebrity or very handsome but if you are rude and nothing but filth comes out of your mouth you gonna get that hole stuffed. Ladies gotta understand that our Mommas did not give birth to us just to have some man push us around. (Sorry i went on a little rant).
Bottom line is Jowoon is an asshole. No amount of grand romantic gesture will ever convince me that he is a nice person.
you put it into words. i think that’s why i didn’t want haesoo with joowon. it’s unhealthyyyy. even if they admitted their feelings to each other, it’d be one miserable relationship. i think they should stick by each other if that’s what helps but romantically isn’t the relationship they should have.
PERIODTTTTT omg I love this attitude! I understand these purposes implemented for angst but this is borderline abuse and its annoying as fuck. I’m tired. I want to see real love, not overly glorified and posessive douches get their rocks off. That’s why I dropped this so long ago. I mean it took us 57 chapters to get to this point. Really? The art and inner monologues are lovely but that’s about it tbh
The most frustrating part is a lot of the readers are condoning Jowoon's attitude. Rationalizing it as love. Yikes! Try dating a guy who makes you feel insecure. Trust, you'll end up hating not only him but yourself as well. And that is not love. Jowoon is like that little boy in the playground who is neglectful of his toy but when someone else notices said toy throws a tantrum. What a nightmare.
Aw honey, we girls gotta look out for each other. We may not need to like each other (look, we are women. Very complicated creatures. Let's own that instead of going against what is hardwired into our DNA) but we should never pull each other down. I don't buy the notion of
"women who love women" because that just seems so pandering to me. What i do believe in is that women should respect women. No matter what race, color, language, religion, and culture we all should respect each other.
Baby girl, I always tell myself this "It is good to be kind to be but it is important to be kind to yourself ". I guess that is where God allows me to draw my strength from. Kindness.
You’re so sweet!!!! This vibe is IMMACULATE and I fw it hardddddd. Couldn’t agree more. Everyone else is against us. Even our own kind is trying to bring each other down.. It’s so saddening. Women are beautiful creatures and have so much to offer. We’re not just pretty little things that are required to be kept as commodities.. I personally crave healthy female affection and love rooting for other women. But anyway, yeah, jowoon is a whole ass clown honestly.. but we shouldn’t really expect any life changing characterization from a yaoi comic. It’s not meant to be anything special. :/ Which is fine I suppose. Readers can indulge in these reads, but what most frustrates me is when readers gravitate torwards these unhealthy tropes and they REMAIN trends and japanese artists will continue to implement them for that $$$$$. They’re literally getting all the spotlight when there is a plethora of amazing gems that exist ???? I’ll never understand it.
Baby girl, we validate ourselves. That's all we need!
Now back to the story. Asian culture tend to glorify the jerk MCs. I see it so much not just in BLs but also in Kdramas. Like for real gh0rl? you're gonna choose the cold MC because he shows very little moments of tenderness over the 2nd male lead who has shown you nothing but kindness and love? Sheesh. Sadly, girls in real life do that too. Nigahiga was right when he sang "Nice guys finish last."
Any "love" that makes you miserable and hate yourself is not love at all. Sure, love has it's up and down. And true love is never easy. But true love will not make you miserable. It may hurt but always deep down you know that love is worth fighting for. True love will always equate to happiness. That's just it. In black and white.
When Haesoo said his love for Jowoon is not enough there must have been an ounce--no, a
kilo-- of truth in his words. Yes, he loves Jowoon but not enough to defy those around him. Not enough to make him stop hating himself.
My take is they found each other when they wore both feeling lonely. But they were seeking two different things. Jowoon must have been looking for a lover hence his insistence on a relationship that he might never sustain. Haesoo could have been looking for a brother/family but somewhere along the road he what longed for got mixed up.
Love is never meant to make you hate yourself and feel insecure. Love is meant to be a safe place. What they have? I don't even want none of that.
