I have to disagree with this because in the end, it was beom's decision to go. i think he needed that one year to spend with his dad and new mom. im glad he came back

He clearly was under so much stress. If his father explained everything from the start I'm sure Beom wouldn't have choosen going to Australia and waste a whole year. It wasn't really his decision he just didn't wanna be a burden
I totally agree with you.. At one point I felt like the father should really have involved him in the discussion right from the start. At least give him enough time to set his priorities straight. It's obvious the news hit him suddenly and with no preparation at all. You don't expect someone to make a rational decision within a short time like that. That's selfishness
I really feel sorry for Beom.. he didn't get to graduate with his friends because of the stupid decision his father made.. it really broke my heart seeing him say he wasn't a student anymore while showing a painful smile :(
