I agree, usually if it’s a girl that’s trying to
block the two boys together, it’ll just just cause angst for readers. However, if the girl was more like a confidante to help the two boys get together, that’s not too bad IMO.
It is possible her character is being used as a plot device to get the two boys together. Now, all he has to do, is go running into Jensen's arms, and tell him "I like you too!"

Personally I don't hate Rissa she doesn't know whats going on with them, all she is trying to do is get with jensen. I'm pretty sure she means no harm so I don't get why some people hate her? Is it because the ideal ship may seem to get taken by her? It ain't her fault lmao. And I get she's kinda basic and boring but she is adding something lol.
