She forgot a freaking child that almost got punched and the only thing she cared about was getting a guy's number. She's egocentric and although it might be funny sometimes, I think it's starting to get on people's nerves. Of course it's not cool to call her a bitch. I don't think people have a problem with her loving Jensen but maybe more about the way she acts, I think? (･_･)

But I don't think all the hate here in particular comes from just her being the female love rival; some of her actions are annoying (although it doesn't justify calling her a bitch). She could have been the female with the same love interest as the MC, which is totally fine, but the author made her an egocentric " drama queen" which is a bit of a shame. Otherwise, she sometimes seemed to have some potential to be a good friend

just because it's a gay romance manga does not mean that the readers can roast every female that is in the manga.

You're right about that. In the present case although I truly think Rissa is literally created to be annoying. Which is why I don't care too much for her character as just a woman. Her only personality trait is acting like a school girl in love and ultimately we all know she's not the main, so that won't happen for her. Her character as the TEACHER though.Oof. Can you imagine leaving your kids in the care of someone being happy that a child has gone missing because she gets to have a guy's number? Tf? She would get her ass sued and I can guarantee no one would be like "welp, a girl can like a boy!" That's why I can't personally sympathize with her character and I think that's what the other commenter was pointing out as well. Not talking about every girl in every BL. Just this one, in this present case.

readers always do this. a girl likes a gay boy and they all start to talk shit about the girl. it's not her fault that she's straight. im not saying she was right when she left the kids. but roasting a girl just because she likes the main character is not right.

I'm not everybody and she's not every character in every comic. I was only talking present case and why I don't personally enjoy this character.
I get that most people are hostile towards women in BL and no, it's not right. But they're also hostile most of the time towards rivals of the main couple, male or female, in any romance comic, gay or straight. Because that's the role of the character. They are designed to get in the way, and thus being annoying to the eyes of the readers. And it's not only comics. It's universal.
People calling her a bitch aren't right. But you gotta understand some just don't like her bc she's the rival, not because she's a woman. I get that you like her. Me not thinking the same doesn't invalidate it. Idiots hating on women don't invalidate people who don't like the character for other reasons.

im not protecting her for being egoistic or anything. i also agreed when the readers were angry at her because she left the kid. but now some people are calling her a bitch, hoe and things just because she's in love with the main character. i also don't understand her but i don't call her a bitch just cause shes in love with the gay mc.
