I understand what your saying. It's simply possessiveness not love. His desire to dominate his every being, to crush it and blend it into his own self. Becoming one being. Such deep obsession he labels as love when it clearly isn't. It's just too deep for him to understand so since love is incomprehensible he thinks it's love.

Most people seems mixing up that both Sugiki and Suzuki dont want to be submissive, thats not what I think was happening
You see Suzuki is okay with the whole swapping things: 'Dumbass, swapping positions won't help you become one with me'
Sugiki however has problems with his infatuation or obsessiveness over Suzuki, he 'wants' everything of Suzuki (dancing, destiny, flesh, bones, genes and soul - everything). This is not love and Suzuki understand this. Ernie words actually explain this well: 'You have way too many desires and you are just calling them "love" aren't you?'
I dont know, it could also be interpret as not wanting to be the bottom for both, but thats not it, I think. Since Suzuki at last part said 'This is the real you, you can only fall in love with woman' and said 'I love you' at the end - and as the translation page indicate it implies that Suzuki love toward Sugiki is beyond passion and lust, EDIT: which represent that what Sugiki feels toward Suzuki is not love compare to Suzuki's feeling, if this makes sense.
