Umm i dont mean to be rude but correct me if im wrong but ive watched and read many chinese movies and wuxia and i think that the author of the world our mc is in is only calling our mc ‘sister’ because its a respective title and kind of like a title for someone close to you or u respect, so it doesnt initially mean that theyre actually blood related sisters. Jus wanted to get tht out there to clear any sort of confusion or misunderstang?
Sorry, his is what I got from reading it but, originally you don’t know if she killed or the sister even before the new ML was introduced. If your going to say she didn’t because they say she doesn’t show up again, since it’s supposed to be about this guy getting reformed then she could have been killed off in the middle/beginning. I don’t think the sister killed her off for spite I think that they just made OUR mc die because then she has to escape it, therefore I think it’s safe to think that the tyrant kills the sister in the original probably because it would show how much of an awful tyrant he is.
Also person commenting before, I think they are actually sisters, at first I thought what you were saying but.... meh I don’t know, and I don’t think it will be relevant anyway but I’m sorry if I’m wrong
The only thing I'm confused about is why the MC's original sister decided to have the emperor kill Alicia off in the rewrite of her story when Alicia was never the problem in the original or rewritten version? Was the MC's sister feeling some resentment towards her for making her rewrite it and because Alicia was based on her sister she took it out on Alicia instead?
When I reread the part about the MC berating her sister for having the original ML (the brother) being named Ares I also realized it was a translation issue not a storytelling issue that caused me to be confused about who was being called Ares in that discussion.
