it really depends on the author, everyone writes it differently because there isn't a right or wrong when it comes to that.
i know that im just saying that in a worldbuilding way. like WHY they chose to write it like that, since for me it kinda doesn't make sense.
alpha/omega pairs in these worlds still have mating bites, pairs, heats which would encourage these types of relationships in public eye. they were made for each other afterall. but for some reasons rich parents are like "no you can't get omega :<"
im kind of wondering how this works in some omegaverses. wouldn't alphas be pressured to mate with omegas? since its more "natural" i guess?
