Ahh I'm really sorry. I've read and liked a couple historical yaois but many of them
are pretty bittersweet, I don't know what would you deem "tragedy", so I'll rec. a few titles and deciding to read them will be up to you. I'll be excluding Mizukami Shin's works because you already know about them. I still hope you at least find one that you can enjoy, if you hadn't seen them before of course.
Shounen Tsubaki - It's the first story, the uke is in a bad situation at home
and the seme seems like kind of a rascal at the start but they become such a lovely pair.
Happy end!
Dokonimo nai kuni - The first story, it's about two soldiers a little after WWII ended.
The ending is a bit of the open side but things end well, it seems.
Haru no E - One shot, and it's not tragedy. it's pretty nice (though I know not everyone likes Nakamura Asumiko's art) but just like many good oneshots, leaves you wanting more, or a less open end.
Sakura Gari - Aahhh this one is pretty bittersweet at the end and the story gets dark at some points, though it's fairly well-written and the story has intrigue. Beautiful art.
Tourou No Ori - It's showa era (the setting looks like the 50s to me) so not that old an historical period... I haven't read through all of it, not sure if it's supposed to be tragic, but the story is kind of dark.
Baraou no Souretsu - It's not marked as yaoi, since the MC is intersex (if I remember correctly), though in the story the mc is referred to as "he" and presents as male, and there are hints of romance with other male characters. It may count as tragic but the story is great, worth checking if not as an "historical yaoi".
Any good historical yaoi? But no tragedy please :c
