She admits to liking Nicholas, but she won't pursue a relationship with him because she's now a commoner and he's a prince. She doesn't want to go back to being a noble and she can't ask Nicholas to be a commoner (she won't allow it either if he wants to become one) because the country needs him. This story isn't really a romance story as it's just a story of a girl fighting against Fate. That's the plot of all this lol
Of course, that was in the novel (which this manga is based on). Maybe..........they'll change it? Who knows. So far they've been following the novel word for word.
