in my opinion I really like the realism in this story. the dark nitty gritty experiences just reminds the readers the harsh reality of prison--male dominance with sexual violence, racism, degrading, etc. but it's also sweet how the two were able to rise through all of that and fight through together!
Yes, I love the realism in this! But the fact that this is labeled as realism is quite sad, the fact that racism, rape, violence, and etc. Is seen as realism when it comes to manga makes the world realllyyy look like a terrible place. :/ because this shouldn't ever happen.
