Agree. That's like saying that we can destroy Japan for the 1930s+ imperial army's war crimes and conquests or annihilate Germany for the concentration camps and wars. No, this generation isn't to blame for what the grandparents did. And the Eldians were quiet on that island until Marley (who has been treating Eldians like Germans treated Jewsin the 30s/40s) disturbed them, caused massacres, and awakened the desire for revenge in Eren et al.

Honestly, I think Marley is just a horrible nation and they are mostly at fault for the wars and bloodshed. I don't understand how it's acceptable to blame people for things that happened more than a 1000 years ago. Does nobody in this world think that whatever the history was like,it doesn't fucking matter now?
