I agree with you. Memories of a past life could be something like seeing a movie or something, because the life being lived originates with that life complete with physical, emotional and psychological growth. Knowing more doesn't necessarily equate to feeling the wisdom, if that makes any sense.

I know that most pepole don't really like how childish the MC acts but in my opinion it's kinda refreshing almost?
Not to mention I always though that if someone was reincarnated as a baby it would affect their personality as well? Since our emotional intellegince is something that grows as we do?
