Felt the same way about the extra. It was just too much. If someone would do that to a picture of me I’d feel uncomfortable.

Because thats what makes the story diff to others. Ive been reading some manga in here but this story is kinda new to me. So the traumatizing part is part of the plot but yeah no doubt his mother is really fcked up though
It’s just your lack of life experience. Once you’ve lived more and see different situations and lifestyles you shouldn’t have such a narrow view. You’re still super young, read again in 5 then 10 years. You’ll be surprised
I'm in the minority here, but feel compelled to share my piece. (Not a hate post though).
When I read the first chapter months ago, I immediately felt off when seeing the two younger boys kissing. Just felt weird to view that under the context of a yaoi manga that we know will turn sexual at some point. Made me question whether I'm getting too old to read some HS yaoi (I'm 24). But having loved this mangaka's other story, I at least skimmed the chapter.
Then in reading the rest of the story, I felt weirded out by the whole mother situation. Tamaki'a past trauma of his mother's toxic relationships was pointed out but never addressed. Just pushed to the side for Shii's feelings. And having to watch it was offputting to me as a reader. Especially when that first boyfriend started touching Tamaki and the mother said nothing about it.
Then lastly, Shii's obsession with Tamaki was sweet but also offputting when it got perverted. This one I'm trying not to be too judgemental over. He's a horny teen and this is yaoi, after all. It's the status quo. But that final extra of jacking off to pictures and poses... I couldn't shake off the "this is creepy" feeling.
Again, not trying to be a hater but this how I actually felt throughout the story and needed to share it (for whatever reason). Despite that, I hope the mangaka does another volume, cause this story felt incomplete. And I feel like she intends to. If so, hopefully volume 2 addresses Tamaki's trauma with his mother & relationships.
