IIRC, it's a historical yaoi story that started out tragically. The "Master" kept this "slave" hostage as revenge to the slave's family who killed the Master's family. The slave, who was timid and kind by nature, fell in love with the "tyrannical" Master. Eventually, the Master also fell in love with the slave--when the latter was kidnapped, the Master almost died trying to save him.
