Fox have on average a 2 or 3 years lifespan. It's been a decade since the prince adopted him, he should be dead.

    I think that's only if the fox lives in the wild with no care whatsoever but this fox lives in the palace with maids probably taking care of it making sure it's not sick so it's understandable its life would last long just like a cat's.

    A Fox can live up to 14 Years old. In the wild they die faster.
    But if he lives a safe live with care it can get much older.

    No, even in captivity it doesn't really change anything, they may live up to five years but that the max.

    You need to recheck your facts. Even in the wild a fox can live up 10 years of age. In captivity, if well cared for, it can live up to 15 years. I don't know where you get your information, but a basic wildlife program gives more accurate info than the BS you are spewing. Only in fur Mills does a fox not make it beyond the age of 2 or three for sure. Even in the wild they can live beyond that.
