I think its because Harada actually put effort into Kei's past.. a lot of times is a character just giving a sob story... and leaves readers like...yeah.. no.. you fucked up... ... no connections with fans

an interesting story, i liked how it presented a raw visualisation of a kid being groom by a predator and the psychological trauma etc. kind of didnt like the fact that the pedophile waskinda later protrayed as a victim afterwards tho??? like yes he had a really traumatic past but hes STILL a pedophile idk
