I have a prediction and I haven’t heard anyone say this before (correct me if wrong) as the story progresses It becomes obvious that Junwoo blames himself for his parents death. But because of his character I doubt it was intentional. It had to be accidental. I think that during his birthday when his parents weren’t able to give him a party and bought him a cellphone instead of the computer he wanted—they either felt bad or he made them feel bad by saying something and they left to go get him the computer—but had an accident during this. So Junwoo blames himself because they left to get him the present he wanted. He probably thinks that if he was only content with the cellphone or had told them its ok and not to go—they wouldn’t have died. So now he denies himself the basics of life (going out, school, friends) as a way of punishing himself for his parents death. Doesn’t help that his exfriends/ bullies reinforce that there is something wrong with him instead of helping him.
