Amen to that! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
They just want to victimize themselves over a FICTION they willingly chose to read. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
It's meant to be disgusting tho..
Riiight like bruh you chose to read this and your getting mad at yourself for getting turned on at the rape scenes trying to blame the author for making you all hot and bothered by a story while thinking to yourself "this is terrible it's rape!" Then storming off to the comment section to vent like chill.
People can enjoy a story while having issues with parts of it. It's good to be critical of the media you consume, even if at the end of the day you still enjoy it. Gatekeeping that people are only allowed to voice their thoughts about something if they 100% agree with everything that's happening is just dumb. I find the art gorgeus and I'm interested in the characters but I'm uncomfortable with the amount of violence and rape. I will still continue reading this because overall, the pros outweight the cons, and I will keep voicing my opinion about it because this is a site meant for discussion, not echo chambers or opinion censorship. Sue me.
Disclaimer: This story is one of my favs and the author has done an amazing job on portraying such a fucked up character.
However, I do understand the criticism. I think the problem isn’t that the story has rape, but the portrayal of it. Rape does happen in real life and it’s very important not to ignore a topic just because it’s dark. It does kind of disgust me when people romanticize it, because there are a lot of impressionable teens reading this. A kink is fine(I have many haha), but normalizing rape really isn’t(saying it doesn’t matter because he’s hot). Even when it’s fiction. So it’s not really criticism about the story, but the readers haha
Imagine getting upset about the things that happen in a story that you chose to read and then complaining ab it in the comments.
Like lmao if it disgusts you so much, stop reading?
