He couldn’t see black people in the dark
First of all i don't want to offend anyone, i don't even know the meaning of 'wakanda' i thought it had a meaning, but i don't think that this manga is racist just because the author decided to draw the background character like that... they were not main characters but they were close so he couldn't just draw them without a face, so i think it only natural to draw them not so detailed, besides i can't say this manga is racist by just 1 chapter when you don't even know the authors... so refrain from saying racist this racist that... you can't be sure it's racist by just this little information.... moreover if someone wants to read this and sees all this comments they won't know if it's really racist or not

I just searched what 'wakanda' means and it says this: 'The definition of wakanda in the dictionary is the worship of nature among the indigenous North American peoples.' I don't think that this is racist... i may be weong but it's too soon to say...

Nope you're just flat out exaggerated. I also draw anime/cartoons(hobby) and sometimes I'm also too tired to draw even the smallest details. Becoming lazy and all because bcoz my hand and fingers are too damn hurt to move

the author was trying to make a joke. It was an off color joke, but so are the jokes about asians having small dicks, and mimic the accent by mixing up the Ls and Rs
They arent wrong by saying african americans have big lips, cuz most do. I dont think the author is intentionally be racist, they just wanted to add a joke.
oh and, this is only the first chapter, as someone working on this comic, they arent just saying wakanda. They do speak a native tongue in dialogue.
An also the guy was wearing glasses before, wasn’t he, so maybe he couldn’t see that well
