I do too but the way the main character gave him false hope just now was pretty cruel, they just keep hurting each other and it's becoming unbearable to watch for me T^T

Did you not read it properly? He only gave false hope because he didn’t want something to happen to kyunjin. Other than that he haven’t gave any sign he likes the bad dude more than a friend

but the reason for that was so the bad guy wouldn’t send the class president to the freaking hospital. there’s no comparison between their actions. the MC’s actions are normal little bad things a high schooler could do but the bad guy’s are like.... get sent to jail things. i just want him gone :(

Yeah I agree and I do think their actions are not comparable, but being so harsh has, like, 99% of chances of triggering Mr bad guy, so he could have been a bit more gentle about it, the consequences for triggering him are usually quite bad for everyone after all.
