I haven't read the whole novel but at some point tess (elf gurl) kissed art. Soon after that she confessed at him but art said that he only see her as a childhood friend.
I actually stopped reading after that chapter bcuz i just dont like romance to happen so i didnt continue reading. Its like only 1/4 part of the novel.
(anyway sorry for my bad english)
Did Art give any indication that he might be developing any feelings for her? No matter how small?

He does develop some feelings for her BUT in my opinion it does not change the flow of the story too much and is very far in the novel.
