Yup. He's bad at socializing and he was hoping that he could connect with people through food. After his first crush left and married a women, it also may have turned into a habit.

I'm so glad i read the prequel to this first. It made so much more sense!! Tho i still wonder why he always would make such a large lunch..was it cuz he wanted friends?
