I always feel that this kind of story teaches people that goes through the same thing that it’s ok not to say anything or to not look for a physiologist. It’s through art and these kind of abusive story that the author should help readers by saying you have to speak out for yourself and help others that might go through the same issue. ╥﹏╥
Not every story is going to have a “happy”/vindicating outcome. In fact I thing this scenario is quite realistic as a vast majority of victims don’t say anything an live with the trauma. I don’t think this story was saying that “it’s okay” to be silent, it just dealt with trauma in a realistic way without making it into a trope I think?
Somehow, this is something crucial for a mother in abusive story. I think as her child Yuu should be telling the truth, this is what making the child live in trauma and shows the mother incompetency. That's why I rarely read this kind of to abused character meant to abused reader.
