Why tho? He's been living a manipulated life since was a child and didn't even want to be king. He was rapped by his wife and was forced into starting a war. He didn't want any of this to happen to him and he's actually the most pitiful character of this story...
It's true, I understand the reason why he's like that I really do. But his character is just really super irritating to the point that we've come to hate it. And his effect on Richard put Richard in a roller coaster of emotions and confusion which Richard does not really need in life rn.
