I feel like he slowly stopped using it thou. And he is a little bit more easygoing with gay ppl. But i feel like ppl have to remember that his homophobia isn't like just blatant hate for no reason. Yeah I feel like just mentioning it doesn't do him justice. I feel like the author should really go in depth into what has happened to him, like the sexual harassment he has faced to make him actually hate and fear gay people. For example, we got a taste of it when he was being harrassed by the old man but I still think we need to know the reason why. The author should go into detail in this volume I hope.

Also I kinda dont like ppl calling him horrible and an asshole. Cuz remember he has had bad experiences we should learn to look at the other person's thoughts and feelings. If this was a str8 manga and it was a girl that hates men because she has been harrassed and molested before most of us would sympathize with her and understand where she is comming from with her man hate and have compassion but because it's a male I think people have less compassion, which isn't fair imo.

Ok so I just reread up to ch4 and he has has some assaults happen they both instances that were shown seemed pretty serious it even though the were like 2-3 panels max for each flashback and they were small. And he didn't kno that faggot was even a slur, or atleast the japanese equivalent of faggot was a slur (remember it's different in Jp, different terms and shit) and he corrected himself directly after being informed. So it's not that he is a bigot who just hates gays he didn't know that the word was a slur AAAANNND he is genuinely afraid bc of some very bad memories.

ur right not the best example. But it in the manga it said that he has had bad experiences with members of what we would call the lgbtq+. Mostly gay ppl and and a trans female, so regardless of genders if a person has had bad experiences, has suffered sexual assaults and harrassment, by ppl that belong to a certain group, in this case the gay community, then isn't it, his fear, sort of valid in a way.

Let's restructure or redo my previous example and use lesbian women instead of men

Like let's say that you have an average femal person who never thought anything of lesbian women. She never had any bad opinions of them ever, etc. But as she goes through life she encounters many lesbian women and each time she encounters a lesbian she has a terrible experience where she is assaulted or she is harrassed by the lesbian woman. Then wouldn't that female person be scared shitless of lesbians and think that they are bad people that want to do bad things to them. It's the same with Amami-chan (uke).

I just wanna say that I think we should have more compassion for him and understand where he is comming from. But I guess most people forgot why he is like that. I'm not saying it's ok that he was like that, but that we should Acknowledge why and congratulate him on how far he has come in such short time. This kinda shit would take years to fix.
