are you really American?! if he was drunk and thinking it was sir inhun then it was even worse. I'm ashamed someone from the us doesn't understand that when someone is drunk, they don't have their full mind and therefore cant consent. youre either a 10yo too young to understand our laws or a blooming i3i3! it is rape even if nakyums body responds. it is rape even if nakyum cums.he didnt know who he was having sex with or that he was having sex and never consented, and was so black out drunk he doesn't even remember it happening.what part of any of that makes this a love story?????!!!!!

If you're talking about modern culture, yes, but this is accurate to history. Servants and slaves were considered sub-human to nobles. This is true in almost every country in the world -- the slaves of Egypt, the serfs of Europe, and so on.
Go back just a 150 years in Japan and a samurai could kill a peasant and no one would think twice unless that person belonged to a noble. Then it was just "property damage" not murder.
History is full of cruelty and injustice. Even other countries with caste systems and elites this still goes on. Wealthy people often get away with crimes that normal people can't.
I understand more when people complain that maybe rape shouldn't be glorified, but I'm very glad that the author is being very honest and factual to how it was for servants and slaves of that time period in Korea. That is not something that should be glossed over and rewritten.
If anything the author lessens it. It was actually a lot worse than even what this manwah depicts. Peasants were not seen as people at all by the nobles. They could be disposed of at a whim.

I didn’t bitch
All I said was I didn’t agree that’s all but what you’re doing here is bitching and not telling it go like a 10 year old like bruh move on fr :/
Seems you got nothing better to do then fight with a kid over the internet about a manga that gets so many different opinions everyday. I don’t know who is more of an adult right now

actually I'm not. its not about the manga either, really.its more that as a fellow American I don't understand why you think someone on the receiving end of sex who is drunk can give consent.that goes against the fundamentals of what were taught.that isn't a matter of disagreement.its a date rape charge

Ummmmmm... this got interesting quickly.
I'm fine with dislikes. Any time you criticize a manga in the comments, you're going to get that. I'm more lamenting that the art is so beautiful and I desperately want to like this story, but I don't.
And about whether it's rape or not... 100% it is, but that's not really the point.

the art is crazy beautiful. and even though its following the usual rape trope, seungho is interesting. and the raws suggest a change in things to come. I really do wanna see an arc where he becomes a redeemable and respectful man who is aware he did wrong.but its so frustrating people don't think its rape. everyone to their own opinion, and it doesn't mean theyd feel that way in a real life situation. but as a woman, and as someone who has experienced things, I wanna scream when I know how were taught in America and people disregard it.
I dont like this seme at all, and I dont like the way the culture depicts the servants and slaves as sub-human, but the art is OMG beautiful and the pacing is good so I'm still coming back for more...
