Spoil me pls. Did they really go all the way? And why are they breaking up?

Sorta went all the way they stopped cause she was in pain lol and hes really busy with finals so they are taking a break and it ends with her crying and thinking that she's loves him but is looking forward to their time together less and less

He waits until she says she’s ready, and the first time hurts too much for her so they stop. They do eventually do it though. I’ve read till chapter 28 and whilst they haven’t officially broken up, it seems like that’s where it’s headed. He’s studying really hard for college, and she’s focused on her part time/dance club so they end up not seeing each other for long periods of time. The last page of the chapter is essentially: she still loves him, but she’s sad that she’s not as enthusiastic as she always was to see him.

So, who is she going to end up with in the end? I know you said it's because of their long distance relationship or the conflict/different interest that they now have, but are there any potential love interest, in either side, that also cause further strain to their relationship?

Higuchi seems like he’s still in love with Serina, but as of chapter 28 there’s no significant change in their relationship as friends/acquaintances. There’s no other potential third party threat that we know of so far.

I actually find Higuchi's character more interesting than the ML. He was just so funny, and I kinda understand the conflict he was feeling. His reactions really gets to me. I don't know what's better. If they ended up breaking or parting their ways due to differences or loss of interest, cause that happens, for me that's a more interesting ending than a HE. Or maybe a twist will happen and the underdog 2nd ML will prevail. But... nah... I don't think after the author's dedication of illustrating their relationship that encompasses the whole manga will amount to nothing in the end. Maybe the mangaka is trying to create a tension to make the manga more interesting.
