Because if he became mortal, he’s become vulnerable to his enemies and then him and her would become a target

I just really don't like how the author put the decree in the plot in the first place and hasn't once make use or even mention it at all for 30 something chapters. It's like the author has the mind set 'if i don't mention the decree ever again, it'll be forgotten' this is almost as bad as all of the JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE plot holes (lol yes i went there lol) (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

There is probably some kind of ritual, like spending the night together, to turn him human.
So he tries to turn her first, because if he falls in love with a vampire, he would become a vampire as well.
Never forget he is a mix of human and vampire ....

While I do think that there may be some sort of ritual, I think it would be more interesting if the processus for him to turn from vampire to human would be slow because to become human you have to be full of the energy of Sol, right?
So it would take a while, it wouldn't be sudden.
Also, I believe even if there were a ritual or if the effect of the decree is automatic, it wouldn't work because she's neither human or vampire, I think if she's filled with black energy, that would either do nothing(and it would go away because that's her nature) or she would feel very sick, something like that.
