Well it’s not uncommon. Age gaps relationships aren’t disgusting as long as it’s two consenting adults I don’t see the problem. My grandpa is literally 20 years older than my grandma and they are happily married.

surprisingly that is not my reason for shipping them. I just find it more relaxing when I see the vp and he also supported the mc when our mc had been going through all that shit. My uncle had been a person who had put his mother's health before anything else because she is a single parent, he never did anything for himself and worked tirelessly to pay for her operations till the age 34. He tried dating and stuff but sadly they all left him one by one because they just didn't like that he was too caring and kind to others, until 46 he finally found someone who made him feel loved. They started dating but she was 17 years younger than him, so obviously people started hating on their relationship calling him disgusting and all. The media drove them apart, her family didn't want to deal with the situation so they left the country, they both loved each other but she couldn't handle all the harassment being thrown at them constantly especially about my uncle 'being too old and disgusting' she agreed to leave with her family because she couldn't handle seeing him trying to hide his fear. After she left he became afraid of the world and shut himself in. He died at the age 56 without falling in love again, he became hopeless and everyone just slowly left him. He suffered because of those exact words 'Disgusting' just because he was older and his love was for a younger women.
