I guess they mean the difference between fantasy rpg ispired worlds, who western medival towns like danmachi, re zero, konosuba (actually most isekais are like this) and worlds ispired by asian history and folklore like dororo, kimetsu no yaiba and such. But I don't think I've ever seen an isekai set in feudal japan. That genre is too cookie cutter and the worlds are always the same shit
Is ok is ok...chill~~~~
Don't fight, sometimes people just don't understand other question as it was not elaborate enough (that and English was not our main language )
Well...I guess background setting...u see some reincarnation/world traveler have Westerns background....like middle Europe.....
And some choose to have Chinese/China background when reincarnated or travel to other world.
I'm just curious which of mangago fan prefer to read, Chinese setting or European setting and which reincarnation/world travel power interested them when reading this type of novel.
Lately I notice only 2 kind of isekai
Eastern isekai vs Western isekai
To survive in eastern isekai
-medical skill
-mordern lingery/fashion introduction to market
-cooking skills
-martial arts
To survive in western isekai
-medical skill
-mordern cooking
-OP magic
Once in awhile u get that guandam type in Western isekai (so far,I don't think it make sense if eastern isekai have guandam too. Maybe is just me ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭) or some cheat like technology (i.e smartphones). i have yet to stumble accross
Question: which one do you prefer to see the most (Eastern or Western?) or (the skill MC got) love the most when u read isekai story
