to be fair, i was a bit disappointed at the fact they didnt bonded at the end. but it was actually really interesting and fresh.

being bonded didnt bind the alpha; it mainly the omega. it left the omega with less freedom - more choice and opportunity, yes, but they have less freedom. people change, love change. two people who are in love now might not be in love anymore in ten years. yes, that does sound pessimistic, but i think it shows that they let the omega have and will always have the choice.

alphas can bond five omegas with relatively small consequences; while an omega can only be marked once and everything is gone. yes, it can be a pain in the ass sometimes if they forgot their medicine and got into heat, or sometimes got their heat out of the cycle. people might even think bonding is also about the omega's safety. but that isnt really necessary. the omega has lived years by years, unmarked. he knows how to take care of himself. and with the alpha next to him right now, he has another person to keep him secure.

not being marked lets him have a choice and freedom. its not necessarily about "being ready to leave anytime" but "being able to stay together without taking the other party's freedom". that, then they can stand tall next to one another as pretty much equal. none of them are bind to the other. they both have choice, and freedom, and they both have each other to love and protect.

although, i wish one day they will still bond tho lol im a hoe for marked fated pair. but its fresh to see that they always have freedom of choice!
