I haven't seen one person side with the vamp since the manga started, I don't think the author even intends for you to, he's clearly framed as opportunistic and dangerous, while saliou is getting his own story and thoughts fleshed out like the priest is, because they're the ''good guys'' you should root for

Unpopular opinion: Saliou is wayyy better than the vampire and should most definitely be with the priest instead. I can see how saliou may come off as sus but cmon he's got way better motives than Count Dracula. Let's all admit that we only tolerate the vamp because he dicks Gabriel down reaaalll goood but other than that he's trash
