I guess these stories would be quite confusing/disturbing without knowing a bit about the original stories (these chapters are based on famous true stories in japan). A bit of knowledge about how japan was back in those times would help deepen the appreciation of this manga.
I really enjoyed it and thank the translators!

Im not sure if theres manga versions of the originals but you google benkei and yoshitsune then theres probably at least a wikipedia page!

Yes! You are right about that, it would be better understood if you have some knowledge about these figures. I see that a lot of people are confused about this story..ahaha. After I read the first story and in the middle of yoshitsune and benekei's story, I had to look up the historical figures for all of them...I think it is really interesting.
