I think there was a lot of haste. Sometimes, prolonging a story with too many chapters, the risk is always to repeat the same situations and this is boring in the long term, but on the contrary, running and reaching the end too quickly, leaves the reader with the feeling that something has been left unfinished, especially when the story has an interesting psychological plot. Like you, I have the same feeling and the finish satisfied me in half.

I have my fingers crossed for a second volume but things just seemed so unresolved ;-; it’s almost like they were on the verge of “love” and a real relationship and then it just ended :/
