It looks like Hayami is shot and killed - maybe it was a weird decoy or he actually survived it or something but yeah it's really awful （/TДT)/

I think that he is not going to die , calm you heart kkk
The mask is gonna revive him , is just his body that die but his conscience is in the mask.

No... I also refuse to believe he died. I mean it's the first chapter of Vol.2 :D that would be... odd and surprising (in a bad way). I mean imagine "Oh wow, Vol.1 was great. We wanna see more of those two." - "Here you go. Vol.2. He'll die right at the beginning." Nah-ah ^^ But nevertheless, it kinda hurts seeing Kobayashi so devastated :(
