There are times in life that you have to know the you did the right thing and that is all the you will get. It does no good trying to fix other people.The child and mom got reunited that was the important outcome. Everything else does not matter. Later on when she tells this story to some one else she will come to understand hoe dumb she was. at least the child saw you your kindness.that was your big thank you right there.

Don't know where you live but where I live, this happens all the time. I'm not even shocked at what I was reading and frankly, I almost though the ending would be you being treated as a pedo. Sad but true, this could have happened. Maybe you should be grateful it was just "rudeness". xD but yeah, I sympathize with you. Those situation always leave me dumbfounded at the moment.
(once I helped a little girl get back with her mother, she knew where thé mother was but not how to go there, and when we fond her mom, she was just like: "oh, you're here." thanks god, we didn't wait for her, she'd forgotten her daughter was with her.)

Today the shittiest thing happened and I’m just gonna share it here because I have no friends. So, I was out shopping for some groceries when a saw a little kid crying “mommy.” There were people sitting around him just staring at him. I walk up to them, ask them if they knew where his parents were, and they all said no. (Then why tf aren’t you helping him you assholes) I bent down to the little guy and was like “hey there buddy, what’s up?” He said that he lost his mom. I said “it’s ok bud, we’ll find her. What’s your name? How old are you?” He said his name and that he was 6. I figured that we should wait there, because his mom might show up looking for him so that’s what we did. I sat him down and gave him some tissues to wipe his face. Me and the kid sat there and talked for about 5 minutes before the mom finally decides to show herself. But oh, she’s not alone. She has one of the mall security guards with her. The kid launches himself at the mom and I’m about to speak when she goes “why were you with my son? What were you doing?” I responded with “oh, we were waiting for you to come back. I didn’t want anything to happen to him so I waited with him.” She goes “well it wasn’t your job to wait with him. I’M his mom, not you.” At this point I’m like ok...? Wtf. Glance at the security guard and her face is like —> ╮(￣▽￣)╭ mom, once again, opens her mouth and goes “she didn’t do anything to you, did she honey?” To which the kid responds “no mommy, she helped me.” One of the guys who was watching the kid before backed me up and was like “oh yeah, he got lost and she was just looking after him.” And this bitch “hmph”s me, grabs her son’s hand, and leaves. I mean... I wasn’t expecting a thank you but I also wasn’t expecting her to be rude like that.
