If the author wants to drag it on you'll have the situation where the maid confronts Lina and threatens or blackmails her only to either get thrown in prison or Lina will send people to beat her, then the maid goes in a coma. or better yet she has amesia. That will give the author a couple of more chapters to really mess us up
