    Yea totally agree, and I hated how he kept on being brought up. Really left a bad taste in my mouth

    I think that was kind of the point, they probably didn't get round to having sex (thank god) but I think the point of it was to subtly establish that adult-minor relationships just don't work, regardless of ethics. I also think that with how they kinda kept the character puts him in a new role (as a weird, inconsistent older brother/uncle) of sorts. Of course their past itself isn't actually brought up that much besides for the sake of furthering plot, because the ex himself is just so that he can help progress the main relationship.
