Gender has nothing to do with it. Not everyone is thinking “oh it’s okay for a woman to do this but if a man did it we will cut off his balls and feed it to wolves!” First off this is just a book where people fanasty come to life so if it was a male instead of a female i will still be indifferent towards it. If people like it then that good for them as long as they don’t do it to kids in real life i could careless about what happens in a book. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
