Tho I don't think portraying "love" was the authors intention
Really? I don't think she was by no means trying to portray love in the "conventional" sense, but I definitely think she was trying to show us a warped possibly sick and codependent type of love. I definitely got the impression that they felt something like that from this last chapter, I was just stating how this was as far from the type of love "I" envision as you can get.

I may not have much, if any experience with love, but I'm pretty sure that's not it. I'm sure there will be differing opinions and that's cool, but for me raping and beating will not be signs that you hold me in your heart.
