that's true, but I think the human heart does still wants certain things, and she's not old and bitter and jaded.. so she had some hope of a tiny bit of normalcy. just my opinion.

:) I haven't read the novel, it's bookmarked tho.. I just meant a 'tiny' bit of normalcy.. like look at her before just going into the house.. or one meal together on the day both their lives changed... I prob am feeding my own personality into this.. as I would understand the deal I made, but would expect a tiny bit more than being told he was leaving for 2 years the next day and not giving me a sideways glance like I don't exist as a person. But, I like the story a lot, and have read the comments where this is going.
