Final thoughts

I remember starting this when I was thirteen and it was on chapter one, KS is my very first yaoi and I just stopped bc the updates were too suspenseful. Three years later and I finished this in one go and it feels like I have been punched in the stomach... Koogi does not want to give me a catharsis :(

SPOILERS

The death of Sangwoo was justified but the way in which he had died was just so pathetic and insignificant, I would have much preferred he had died in the fire and not by the hands of some grandma who couldn’t even remember properly. Ofc I commend Koogi on the amazing parallel with the beginning and the end as well as fulfilling the painful death of dying alone, covered in burns and believing that Yoonbum deserted him. But I would give anything to have him die a different way... Also the sequence of Sangwoo letting go of the photo was just so sad even though it saved Bum from police suspicions.
I always knew that Bum would not have a happy life and expected him to die as well but seeing him chasing after Sangwoo so fruitlessly breaks my heart

Last thing - Koogi said that readers would know if Sangwoo loved Bum but I’m still unsure, calling out for Bum could both be affection and longing or cursing Bum for not saving him... any clues?

I thought the same on when she talked about Sangwoo truly loving bum or not. This could be complete bullshit but I think it lies in the last couple panels in the last episode when Bum sees Sangwoo walking away with another woman... As you can see, Bum is calling out to Sangwoo but Sangwoo ignores it. I think that's when Bum realizes that he was never loved by Sangwoo even though that's all he ever wanted. Idk though, that's just me. It's obvious that Bum is hallucinating but during that hallucination I think that's when he realizes he was never loved. I hope this helped :)

Yeah for sure, not going to lie as a reader I really wanted them to be happy, more Bum than Sangwoo but regardless...after all he had gone through and endured Bum still doesn’t have a place in anyone's heart. And obviously I want to dismiss the Sangwoo and girl thing as insecurity and hallucination but you’re probably right that Sangwoo never truly loved Bum. What did you think about Sangwoo calling out for Bum in the hospital?

adding to that, bum still continues to call for sangwoo knowing this... maybe whenever the crosswalk light turns red, it symbolizes bum realizing he cant chase after sangwoo anymore and that hes gone...? eh its kind of a stretch but im just trying to make sense of what youre saying in my brain lol

Truly depressing, but I always thought it was literal as in Bum gets run over by a car

Yeah, that makes sense :) Hopefully our theories were right... or at least somewhat right?
