It wasn't that he used fake scissors. It was because the string reconnects over time if the two people truly love each other.
in Akai Ito No Shikkou Yuuyo, Arako cut the string and it reattached again, and Kaoru 've been through so many break up experiences, trust dismissed already, of course he will feel anxiety and stressed about it. Isn't that why he tried to break up with Hara before?
