I would think that the prince was manipulated by the time travellin bitch and his courtiers to hate the empress. When u are king, you are just surrounded by lies and ends up hurting the innocent. I would say that this happened cos he was a weak king that let jealousy blind her instead of seeing her worth as a loyal subject and listening to her advise and treating her like a king. He would have ruled better in the past life if only Tia was respected. And that's how he fell into the trap of hating Tia. So i guess in this life, I would give him a chance if he voluntarily sees her as an equal and respects her

You're actually correct in that aspect.. In Tia's first life, the Prince hates her.. because he was being compare to Tia all the time and even the King adores Tia and rely on her.. Since the Prince has sky rocket pride he doesnt want to admit defeat and hated Tia for the comparison and such.. Yup.. I already explained it here.. Tia and the Prince will end up together.. In this lifetime, the Prince really loved her.. He continued to court her and he was intrigued by her.. so much so that he continues to woos her with gifts and such.. Since Tia still has feelings for the Prince. She married him.. And another spoiler: Jeun, was also reborn.. The Goddess made her choose, i dont remember if its to go back or be reborn in other life but Jeun chose to go back to that lifetime again with the Prince and Tia.. She wanted to take revenge on what happened to her life..
When Tia died, Jeun became the one to lead the affairs of the country. Since she doesnt know what to do and how to manage things as Tia was the one doing that previously, Jeun made so many bad decisions that lead up to the Prince comparing her and Tia. Tia was this and that. Jeun then hated her for that and how Tia destroyed her happy life and if she did not die they would have been (Prince and her) happy.. Those decision lead to the destruction of the empire and so she promised to take her revenge..
but don't worry Tia and the Prince did end up together.. Tia banished Jeun for the crime she committed and she was not allowed to set foot on the country again.. Thats a little punishment for me.. The Prince did love her in this lifetime.. Also there was a story about the Prince.. Author made a story like a POV version for the Prince and the readers got mad at the story because the Prince is so selfish.. It made worse.. His reason for hating her is petty. His falling for lies and not gauging the situation himself shows he's a lousy ruler. Seems like both Jieun and the prince suck.

The reason (in my opinion) why the prince mistreated tia in the past is that The prince is jealous of tia and the jealousy slowly turns into hatred or something. the people around the prince or the castle or even the noble thinks that TIA is Better than the PRINCE. They keep comparing the two.
At first, i shipped the cabbage man (allen) and tia, but as the story goes allen gives me this kind of yandare vibe.
