What if the author is killing all the pillars because the existence of demons will eventually come to an end? Because if Muzan dies, no new demons will be created and they'll eventually be killed off completely. So in other words, demon slayers will eventually dissapear too. I feel like the author is trying to end it in a way where all demons are gone (or will be gone) but the demon slayers are gone too, thus the pillars dying in battle. I mean I hope that the remaining pillars end up living (Sanemi is badly injured though), but I think Tomioka is definitely in danger since he's definitely gonna fight Muzan with Tanjiro. The Love Pillar and Snake pillar are in danger too since they're still fighting that demon lady.
