Both harem are a big no no to me

I used to find harems tolerable but I was a naive child who didn't really see the cliches. That is until I got older...When a plot of a story is good it makes me sad to see when the author decides to put in the harem. I don't mind harems BUT I HATE THEM WITH ALL OF MY SOUL WHEN THE STORY LOSES FOCUS AND IS BEING BLINDED BY THE HAREM. All I ask is that the harem shouldn't over take a story. If the story was intentional with the harem then fine. But if it wasn't and was just added because the author believes that they'll get more views and money from this then...Damn you. Because you couldn't believe in your skills in story telling and had to resort to harems because you couldn't believe your story was good WHEN IT WAS.

Harems disgust me. Reverse harems, if the story has a good plotline like Inso's Law, don't. But they can get sickening at times, Beast and Princess for example. I guess it's just too shoujo for me.

I thought i was the only one who hate harem . Im glad there are others who feel the same. I seriously hate harem.
i hate harems and love triangles and all of that stuff. if i see more than 1 love interest that actually has a chance with the mc im out. its dropped. those are soo hard for me to read and i cant even elaborate why

There was a female harem I read but it was very unique lol.
She had guys following her but the twist was that she was a femdom. So we still get hot scenes with guys getting it. I forget what it was called but I really enjoyed it. She had purple hair and like always wore a long skirt and works in a flower shop.

What do you guys think about harems? Like, girl harems have always been annoying to me because they always over sexualize the girls with using big boobs. (Which I understand is because it’s targeted to a male audience but c’mon a lot of them don’t even have a good plot and always have a stereotypical guy who always has nosebleeds when looking at even an ounce of boob) I used to like male harem but as I grow older I’m sick of them. I feel like it’s always features a one-dimensional generic and nice female protagonist and men who easily fall in love in with her. I haven’t read anything harem related lately but just wanted to know your guy’s opinions on both female and male harems. This is just my opinion and I in no way intend to demean others with a different opinion. I just want to create a conversation. Moreover, if have you guys have read a female or male harem manga that doesn’t fall into a cliche plot or have cliche characters, please recommend them! :)
