Lol ok, storytime!

Basically, a long time ago, Zeus (Ruler of the Heavens and gods) tasked two brother Titans, Epimetheus and Prometheus to create all sorts of creations.

Prometheus was wise and thoughtful, but Epimetheus was the type to act and then think.

Prometheus created man, taking care of creating them, and making them in the form of the gods, thinking about the great things in the future.

However, Epimetheus was not as careful, being the dumbass he was, made every creature with haste, and handing out every gift Zeus had given. So some animals were rewarded strength and speed, while others got claws, wings, or tough shells.

Humanity ended up not getting any of those gifts, and were destined to starve and cower from the animals Epimetheus created.

Prometheus took pity on his creations and stole fire from the gods. This was a major insult because the fire was meant for the gods, and the gods only.

Thus, Prometheus saved humanity. However, Zeus found out because he could see the fires flickering on earth. So he became incredibly pissed but didn't punish Prometheus right away.

The humans burned sacrifices to Zeus, and he was happy with this idea, but Prometheus didn't like the idea of humanity giving the good meat as a sacrifice.

So he tricked Zeus again by asking him to choose from two sacrifices what he wanted to be sacrificed to him from now on.

One pile was of good meat covered in sinews and bones. The other was scraps covered with entrails and fat. Zeus chose the second pile. He was outraged when he realized he was tricked.

He chained Prometheus to the top of a mountain and every day, an eagle would come, tear at his liver, and eat it. Then his liver would regenerate overnight, and in the morning, the eagle would come to tear it out again.

Zeus also planned to make humanity suffer.

He created a woman, Pandora, and gave her many gifts from the gods, including curiosity. Then he said to Epimetheus to take Pandora as his wife. And he did, despite the warnings from his brother not to take any gifts from Zeus, what bright guy, right?

Along with Pandora, came a little box. Epimetheus told Pandora to never open it. Which was a stupid move, because if you tell that to any curious person, they'll just want to open it more.

So, Pandora, being the smart little thing she was, opened the box.

And ended up releasing terrible things like death, the plague, starvation, sorrow, greed, anger, lust, hate, envy, etc. etc.

Pandora tried to close before anything else came out, and she managed to close it, but it was too late. Everything bad had escaped, all but one thing, Hope. Which humanity clutches onto in the midst of all those terrible things that were released from Pandora's box.

Btw, Prometheus was freed like centuries later by Hercules.

Oh wow, thank you for this. If this is the way the story is going to go, then Prome will easily be my favorite character.
