I see it more as them realizing that they won't be able to run away, and trying to talk some courage into themselves. A desperate struggle to try to stay alive, rather than getting killed while fleeing.
Yeah, I get it that. But it's the way it was phrased, rather than say "Let's go out swinging", they simply said "if we group up, we can kill him"....now that we're less than before, and it clearly didn't work the first time.
They are afraid of dying, and "let's go out swinging" is still admitting they will die. They don't want to do that. But I guess if you see it that way I won't be able to convince you otherwise. :P
Nah, I get it, they're trying to convince themselves that they'll make it by saying they'll win. But it's still a bit silly for the context, I mean it was literally from one page to another. I didn't expect them to switch emotions so quickly, and just go back to fighting mode in the blink of an eye.
Yea true... I do agree with you that a lot of the baddies are pretty stupid in this and many other wuxia manhua. But I understand why they tried to fight back in such a manner.
So he easily kills like 10 bandits without breaking a sweat, and the rest run away, after he kills another four, the last ones think "Hey, we can kill him, we're more than him", how stupid is that? There are no words to describe the amount of stupidity associated with their reaction. You were running away, and because he killed even more you assume you can kill him?? Even animals are more intelligent than that, they know damn well that if something is stronger, the best they can do is either run or cower in fear hoping that they will be left alone.
