The way you've phrased it is fine, for informal conversation, but if this is for a lesson, I'd change it.

K I thought I should mention this after rereading your post. You mentioned "conversing". We don't really speak like that on everyday basis. Instead we would say something like this: (more 'informal' but we don't really have formal/informal standards)
"None of the children will know about it."
But it depends on what your context is.

yes, THANK YOU! The sentence was actually given by our professor and she asked us if a native speaker would deem it acceptable. I also checked it with a grammar checker and turned out the 'neither' was the only error, but i still need an actual speaker's answer to confirm. Thank you very much!

YES! that's what i told my partner. The "none of the" sounds better than only the word "neither" since it kinda sounds incomplete. And also, the sentence was provided by our professor and i had to ask you guys because one of the questions was if that sentence structure is acceptable to native speakers.
