Masochistic? Sadist is more like it. Look at how he's treated the female lead, even when she's done kindness to his horse. She's made to sleep on the floor, unwashed, and we don't even see her getting food, running around picking herbs....and he doesn't have any sympathy or gratitude. He's a shit.
